2023 PeDRA Annual Conference

The 11th PeDRA Annual Conference was held November 9-11, 2023, at the Westin Buckhead Atlanta. Attendees had the opportunity to connect and collaborate with dedicated scientists, trainees, industry partners, patients, and advocates to advance research that improves the lives of children with skin diseases and conditions. The Conference focused on stimulating new ideas, advancing collaborative research projects, and equipping attendees with important new skills and knowledge.

2023 Conference Abstracts

Abstracts from the 11th PeDRA Annual Conference are now available online through the journal Pediatric Dermatology. The publication features 112 of 132 accepted abstracts, and can be accessed for free by PeDRA members through the member dashboard on the PeDRA website or through any institute providing access to Pediatric Dermatology. Events and Special Activities

The Innovation Forum is a workshop designed to engage Conference attendees in learning how to identify important real-world problems and ways to develop innovative solutions to solve them.

*Residents, pediatric dermatology clinical fellows, and early investigators who are less than seven years out of training* were invited to join fellow colleagues for an EI Forum focused on networking and grant writing.

The 3rd Annual NextGen Research Forum was a great success! Thanks to Krystal Biotech for their support of the 2023 NextGen Research Forum.

We received a record number of abstract submissions and over 130 posters were on display.

This FREE, kids-only event is hosted through a special partnership with the Children’s Skin Disease Foundation (CSDF) and took place in the afternoon of Friday, November 10. Camp Wonder at the 2023 PeDRA Annual Conference was made possible with the generous support of Sanofi Regeneron.

The 2023 Dash for Discovery took place as a hybrid event, giving in-person Conference attendees the option to walk/run the Dash or do yoga with colleagues and friends. The Dash is the perfect way to support PeDRA’s Mission while staying healthy and having fun!

Support Opportunities

*Industry partners were invited to provide general conference support at* one of four levels. All organizations were invited to explore our sponsorship and exhibitor prospectus to elevate their visibility and participation at the 2023 conference.

Those interested in helping to offset the costs for trainees, new investigators, patients, parents, and/or advocates to attend the Conference had the option to donate to the Travel Scholarship Fund.
