Overview:
Esophageal strictures are well recognized complications of patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). To date, there is very little information on the best short and long-term intervention to manage the strictures with great variability between each treating center.
This study is investigating:
1. The frequency, clinical presentation and recurrence risk of esophageal strictures in a large cohort of patients with all types of EB
2. The short and long-term response to medical and surgical interventions
3. The feasibility of doing a prospective, comparative trial based on the most successful interventions
Status:
Manuscript being prepared for publication.
