PeDRA and Eli Lilly Launch New Grant Opportunity to Close the Care Gap in Adolescent Atopic Dermatitis
August 6, 2026 – Through a special collaboration, PeDRA and Eli Lilly and Company (“Lilly”) have released a new funding opportunity to support healthcare improvement (“HCI”) initiatives related to adolescent atopic dermatitis (“AD”). With an application deadline of September 30, 2026, this new program may fund as many as two projects each with a budget of up to $450,000.
Despite dramatic advances in the therapeutic landscape, evidence consistently demonstrates that patients who meet objective clinical criteria for moderate-to-severe AD are not being identified in a timely manner, are not being escalated to appropriate disease management approaches including advanced systemic therapy, appropriately, and continue to experience prolonged disease burden and diminished quality of life as a result.
To address these challenges, Lilly and PeDRA are requesting HCI proposals that seek to increase the percentage of adolescent patients with moderate-severe atopic dermatitis who are identified and appropriately escalated to appropriate disease management approaches, including advanced systemic therapy or other interventions, in a timely manner. Based on the outcomes of the funded project(s), PeDRA and Lilly hope to see an improvement in the quality of life of adolescents with AD and their caregivers.
