PeDRA Publishes Proceedings and Abstracts from the 2025 PeDRA Annual Conference
April 14, 2026 – Abstracts from the 13th PeDRA Annual Conference, held October 9-11, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, have been published as a supplement in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. Conference highlights were also published as a News & Perspectives article in the journal.
The PeDRA Annual Conference is the flagship program of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA). Each year, it brings together investigators, trainees, patients, advocacy organizations, industry partners, and other stakeholders to advance PeDRA’s vision of changing lives and healing children with skin disease through collaboration and discovery.
The 2025 PeDRA Annual Conference welcomed more than 350 attendees and featured over 170 accepted posters, along with more than 16 hours of breakout sessions led by PeDRA’s 11 Focused Study Groups. The conference was chaired by JiaDe “Jeff” Yu, MD, MS (Virginia Commonwealth University), with Lara Wine Lee, MD, PhD (Medical University of South Carolina) serving as vice chair.
The program included a keynote address by Murad Alam, MD (Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine), two plenary sessions focused on consensus guidelines, a NextGen Research Forum for medical students, and a leadership forum for early-career investigators. Camp Wonder at PeDRA, held in partnership with the Children’s Skin Disease Foundation, also returned as a highlight of the meeting. In addition, the 5th Annual PeDRA Dash for Discovery brought together more than 70 participants and raised over $7,000 for childhood skin disease research.
Hannah Chang, the current PeDRA Fellow, served as first author on the proceedings publication, and 170 abstracts were included in the online supplement.
