The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) is committed to protecting confidential and sensitive information related to unpublished research ideas, methods, data, results, and proposals shared within its network. Such protection is critical to PeDRA’s mission to create, inspire, and sustain research to prevent, treat, and cure childhood skin disease, while fostering engagement, collaboration, and idea-sharing within a diverse community of stakeholders. PeDRA members or other participants in PeDRA activities and programs must agree to adhere to the following standards before viewing confidential and sensitive information or engaging in a program or activity where confidential or sensitive information may be shared. This includes, but is not limited to, working group sessions at the PeDRA Annual Conference, peer-review of applications submitted to any of PeDRA’s competitive funding programs, and activities within any of PeDRA’s collaborative studies.
- Agree not to share or disclose, without the author’s consent, confidential or sensitive materials or information related to or resulting from the PeDRA activity or program to anyone who has not been officially designated to participate in the activity or program.
- Agree not to disclose, in any manner, confidential or sensitive information related to or resulting from the activity or program to any officially designated participant in the activity or program who has a known conflict of interest related to the author or the information.
- Agree not to use confidential or sensitive information or materials related to a PeDRA activity or program for personal benefit or making such information available for the personal or professional benefit of any other individual or organization.
In order to preserve the integrity of PeDRA and its programs and activities, PeDRA may take steps in response to a breach of this agreement, including, but not limited to, that PeDRA shall be entitled to seek equitable relief, including injunction and specific performance, in addition to all other remedies available to PeDRA at law or in equity, and that monetary damages would not be an adequate remedy for such breach. PeDRA shall be held harmless from any damage, loss, cost or liability (including reasonable legal fees and costs of enforcing this agreement) arising out of or resulting from a breach of this agreement.
