Raise Funds for Pediatric Dermatology Research
Turn your passion into impact! Whether it’s running a marathon, hiking a trail, riding for a cause, or writing a children’s book, you can create your own fundraiser to support pediatric dermatology research. Every idea makes a difference—and you can find inspiration from past fundraisers below.
Race to Raise Funds for Research
Are you a runner, cyclist, or passionate about another activity? In 2025, PeDRA member Dr. Denise Metry ran the Boston Marathon and raised more than $22,000 to support research on PHACE and LUMBAR syndromes. You can do the same—pick a cause close to your heart, raise funds to support PeDRA’s Grants and Fellowships Program, or even create your own unique challenge. It’s a fun and meaningful way to make an impact on pediatric dermatology research!
Write a Book and Donate the Proceeds
PeDRA member Bijoy Shah authored a children’s book, Eva’s Itchy Adventure (Moosha and Friends), which tells the story of a young elephant living with eczema. At first, Eva feels too uncomfortable to join her friends, especially when others stare or ask questions. But with kindness and support from those who understand, she learns that her skin condition doesn’t define her—and that she has every right to play, laugh, and be proud of who she is.
Proceeds from Eva’s Itchy Adventure are generously donated to support PeDRA’s mission to improve the lives of children with eczema and other skin conditions.
