This ADVENT program will feature a comprehensive presentation led by Dr. Amy Paller and Dr. Elaine Siegfried, focusing on common misconceptions around pediatric atopic dermatitis (AD). The session will explore the connection between pediatric AD and the development of food allergy, the unique roles of type 2 inflammatory cytokines in AD pathogenesis, and how the burden of pediatric AD can extend beyond the skin. Through expert insights and evidence-based discussion, the program aims to clarify key concepts in AD pathophysiology and discuss lasting disease burden, ultimately enhancing clinical understanding and improving prompt care for pediatric patients with AD.
