PeDRA Launches Three New Grant Programs to Advance Pediatric Dermatology Research

Career Bridge Research Grant

August 21, 2025 – PeDRA is proud to announce the launch of three new competitive grant programs through its Grants and Fellowships Programs. Guided by its mission to create, inspire, and sustain research to prevent, treat, and cure childhood skin diseases, PeDRA is expanding opportunities for investigators at every stage of their careers.

Applications are now open for the 2025 Career Bridge Research Grant and Consensus Grant Program. The Career Bridge Research Grant is intended to support one mid-career investigator in the conduct of an innovative research study in the field of pediatric dermatology. This grant provides $80,000 to support salary and research activities over two years for mid-career pediatric dermatologists. The Consensus Grant Program provides up to $25,000 of support for the creation of consensus recommendations, best practice recommendations, or consensus treatment plans for the treatment of diseases in the field of pediatric dermatology in the United States and/or Canada. Applications for both programs are due Thursday, December 4, 2025.

PeDRA and the Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Type (FIRST) are also collaborating to fund studies through the Pediatric Ichthyosis Challenge Grant. This grant provides up to $25,000 to support one year of research and aims to support high-impact research focused on pediatric ichthyosis and related conditions, targeting advancements that address the unique challenges faced by affected children and their families. Applications are due Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Together, these new grant programs underscore PeDRA’s commitment to supporting researchers and accelerating progress toward better treatments and cures for children with skin diseases.
