Administration Behaviors for Injectable Biologics in Dermatology: A Multi-Center Survey Study

Overview:
This study wants to learn more about how people with skin conditions use injectable biologic medications at home and what happens when they miss a dose. Although these drugs are known to work well, we don’t know much about what patients do in their daily lives. The study will ask 1,000 patients to complete an anonymous online survey about their injection habits, whether they’ve missed doses, and if they think those missed doses affected their condition. The information will be collected from patients at several major hospitals, including Lurie Children’s Hospital, Northwestern Medicine, Fairview Hospital, Loyola Medicine, and Hines VA Hospital. Recruitment will include patients under the care of pediatric dermatologists Dr. Amy Paller, Dr. Christina Boull and Dr. Wendy Kim, as well as patients of adult dermatologists.
