NOW HIRING: Project Manager
Summary
PeDRA is a vibrant organization dedicated to its mission to create, inspire, and sustain research to prevent, treat, and cure childhood skin disease. PeDRA’s Project Manager will provide project management and centralized support to collaborative research projects and PeDRA Focused Study Groups, while contributing to the scientific direction of groups and projects as appropriate. Through these activities and others, PeDRA’s Project Manager will bring us closer to the vision of changing lives and healing children with skin disease through collaboration and discovery. This new position is expected to evolve in sync with the growth of PeDRA. Motivated candidates are likely to be positioned for long-term advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Provide project management and other support to collaborative research projects taking place within the PeDRA research network. To include timeline development and tracking, investigator correspondence, publication support, and other tasks necessary to facilitate the efficient completion of research endeavors.
• Support PeDRA Focused Study Groups (FSG) to offset the burden on FSG Leads, monitor the progress of studies within each FSG, ensure adherence to FSG expectations, and align FSG activities with PeDRA’s Strategic Priorities.
• Collaborate with the PeDRA Studies Committee to strengthen PeDRA’s collaborative research infrastructure and enhance PeDRA’s research productivity.
• Support PeDRA’s centralized data collection and storage infrastructure and facilitate its use across multiple projects.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of studies and Focused Study Group activities.
• Collaborate effectively with appropriate staff and volunteers in the conduct of all job duties.
• Other activities as assigned.
Requirements
• Proven effectiveness with project management and project management systems.
• Experience with peer-reviewed publications, ideally in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with, and/or strong capacity to learn, REDCap. Including data acquisition tool development and backend systems management using MySQL and Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing responsibilities with minimal oversight.
• Advanced degree and at least three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent, preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex records.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Interest in supporting a mission-driven organization committed to improving the lives of children through research.

While performing the duties of this job the employee must regularly sit at a workstation and look at a computer screen. The employee must frequently stand and must occasionally lift objects.
Work Conditions
Environment: PeDRA is a virtual organization, with each employee working remotely. The Project Manager will work from his/her/their home or other suitable location that has access to internet.
Hours: Anticipated average of 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule to be mutually agreed upon with the Executive Director.
Travel: At least one trip per year, to the PeDRA Annual Conference, with additional opportunities for overnight travel possible, including an annual staff retreat and other meetings or events.
