2026 PeDRA Mentorship Program
The PeDRA Mentorship Program supports trainees, early-career, and mid-career clinician-scientists seeking to strengthen their pediatric dermatology research skills and expand their professional networks. Mentor-mentee pairs connect regularly—via email, phone, or in person—with at least three required meetings each year. PeDRA staff and the Early Investigator Committee support the program through curated resources, Virtual Mentorship Mingles, and ongoing communications.
This program focuses on building pediatric dermatology research knowledge and skills and does not provide residency-matching guidance or guarantee a research project.
This year, we welcome our first class of the Medical Student Research Cohort, created in response to unprecedented interest in the PeDRA mentorship program and is designed to support medical students interested in pediatric dermatology research.

2026 Medical Student Research Cohort
The 2026 Medical Student Research Cohort was created in response to unprecedented interest in the PeDRA mentorship program and is designed to support medical students interested in pediatric dermatology research. This cohort-based model brings together a select group of students for structured learning, professional development, and peer connection.
Cohort participants take part in quarterly virtual learning and networking sessions featuring lectures from practicing pediatric dermatology investigators, with topics focused on research skill-building and career development. Participants who opt in will also be included in a cohort directory to facilitate peer-to-peer connection and collaboration.
The program officially launched in January 2026 with a virtual kickoff session outlining program expectations and introducing foundational topics such as developing a research idea and conducting effective literature reviews.
