May 7, 2024 – In collaboration with its partners, PeDRA continues its support for pediatric dermatology research by awarding nearly $90K across two grant programs and announcing four competitive 2024 grant programs.
PeDRA is now accepting applications for 2024 PeDRA Research Grants, Career Bridge Research Grant, Pediatric Alopecia Areata Challenge Grant, and the William Weston Career Development Award. Research Grants are given to support early-stage research projects to lay the foundation for larger-scale studies in the future, while the Career Bridge Research Grant is intended to support one mid-career investigator in the conduct of an innovative research study in the field of pediatric dermatology. Run in partnership with the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF), the Pediatric Alopecia Areata Challenge Grant supports research investigations focused on pediatric alopecia areata. The William Weston Career Development Award (Weston CDA), supported in partnership with the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD), is intended for pediatric dermatologists no more than seven years out of training and provides $40,000 per year to support salary and research activities for up to two years.
Additionally, three investigators have received funding through the 2023 Weston CDA and the first round of the 2024 Emerging Investigator Research Grants (EIRG) program. Click through the links below to learn more about each of these grant recipients and their funded projects.
