Investigation of Somatic Mosaicism in Cutaneous Vascular Anomalies and Related Syndromes

November 10, 2019 By Mike Siegel

Principal Investigator:

Beth Drolet, MD
University of Wisconsin, Madison

Overview:

Vascular anomalies are a group of rare, developmental disorders of blood vessels. These diseases can vary in severity, ranging from vascular birthmarks with mild tissue overgrowth to debilitating venous and lymphatic malformations with severe tissue and bone overgrowth.

This study aims to better understand the cause and natural history of vascular anomalies. By doing so, researchers hope to improve care and develop new treatments for those affected by these conditions.

For more information about this research study, contact Dr. Drolet’s research team at clinicaltrials@dermatology.wisc.edu.

Status:

Enrollment ongoing.
